SAIL Rourkela Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), has released the recruitment notification for Trade, Graduate, and Technician Apprentices under Advertisement No. L&D/Adv./APP/158. A total of 1,110 apprentice vacancies are available across different ITI trades, engineering fields, non-engineering degree courses, and diploma streams. The SAIL Rourkela Apprentice Recruitment 2026 notification was released on July 17, 2026. Eligible candidates can complete their online registration from July 17 to August 26, 2026.
The apprenticeship program will provide one year of practical training and work experience in a steel plant environment. Candidates will be selected on the basis of academic merit and will also be required to attend physical walk-in document verification between September 1 and September 26, 2026. Candidates should carefully check the eligibility criteria, online registration process, and list of required documents before applying for the apprenticeship program.

Stipend Details
- Trade Apprentice: ₹10,560 per month, except COPA and Welder trades, where the stipend is ₹9,600 per month, or as per the rates prescribed by MSDE, Government of India.
- Graduate Apprentice: ₹12,300 per month, or as per the rates prescribed by MSDE, Government of India.
- Diploma/Technician Apprentice: ₹10,900 per month, or as per the prescribed rates by MSDE, Government of India.
- For Technician and Graduate Apprentices, 50% of the stipend will be paid by Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) and the remaining 50% by BOPT through DBT mode.
