Position Description:

The Acquisition Manager – Trade Accounts will be responsible for acquiring and managing trade customers, driving trade and forex business growth, and ensuring customer activation and engagement for Trade Accounts in the assigned region.


Relevant Experience:

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in Sales and Acquisition of RTFx (Trade and Forex) solutions.

Functional Competencies:

  • Acquisition of trade potential customers.
  • Activation of New-to-Bank (NTB) trade potential customers for trade transactions.
  • Continuous customer engagement to drive CASA (Current Account, Savings Account) and fee growth.

Job Responsibilities:

Financial Responsibilities:

  • Drive the acquisition of Trade and Forex business for the assigned location.
  • Generate fee income through self-sourced acquisitions, ensuring Year-to-Date (YTD) TFX fee and CASA targets are met by the channels (Liability & Assets).
  • Achieve income and FCY throughput targets set for TFX products for the respective branches/business units.
  • Responsible for achieving NTB TFX customer acquisition targets for the region.

Non-Financial Responsibilities:

  • Conduct independent and joint client calls in collaboration with the CA Sales team, Business team, and Branch Banking team.
  • Address trade-related queries and client requirements by liaising with Trade Ops, product teams, and the central team.
  • Ensure compliance pendency is cleared within regulatory timelines.
  • Increase the utilization of non-fund-based limits (BG/LC/LCBD) sanctioned to clients by the Asset verticals.
  • Maintain knowledge of RBI guidelines, FEMA & non-FEMA regulations, AML/TBML frameworks, and risk management principles.
  • Enhance client relationships by offering business banking solutions, increasing product penetration for existing customers.

Required Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of trade products, RBI guidelines, FEMA & non-FEMA guidelines, and risk frameworks.
  • Expertise in regulatory compliance and managing trade-related financial products.
