Job Purpose:

The Debt Management Specialist will manage and coordinate the recovery of overdue payments on loans or credit accounts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Achieve collections targets by visiting customers/agencies.
  2. Monitor performance against set parameters and provide regular updates.
  3. Ensure compliance with legal guidelines during repossession of products.
  4. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
  5. Provide regular reports on collection activities and performance.
  6. Handle escalations promptly and effectively to resolve issues.
  7. Manage Daily Risk Reports (DRR).
  8. Develop and implement strategies to improve collection rates.
  9. Perform case-by-case tracking and resolve issues within agreed timelines.
  10. Oversee portfolio management and debt collection strategy.
  11. Ensure achievement of targets as per the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
  12. Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance standards.
  13. Conduct reporting and analysis of collection activities.
  14. Mitigate risks and manage escalations efficiently.
  15. Lead teams and manage vendor coordination.
  16. Coordinate with internal and external clients to meet organizational objectives.
