| Role Summary | Looking for an experienced MongoDB Database Administrator responsible for managing on-premise MongoDB environments including installation, configuration, security, performance tuning, and high availability. |
| Education | Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field |
| Experience Required | Around 9–15 years total experience with at least 7+ years as a MongoDB DBA |
| Key Responsibilities | Install, configure, and maintain MongoDB clusters; manage replica sets and sharding; perform backup and restore operations; monitor performance; implement indexing and query optimization; ensure database security; handle patching, upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery planning. |
| Technical Skills | Strong MongoDB administration skills, knowledge of replication and sharding, experience with backup/recovery tools, SQL scripting, performance tuning, and database monitoring tools such as MongoDB Ops Manager. |
| Additional Skills | Automation and scripting using Shell, Python, or PowerShell; Linux administration (Ubuntu, RHEL); knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards. |
| Preferred Skills | Experience with MongoDB Enterprise features, MongoDB DBA certification, and exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. |
| Travel Requirement | Frequent travel to client locations may be required. |
