Indian Law Institute Invites Applications for Assistant Professor (Law) Posts

The Indian Law Institute is now accepting online applications for the position of Assistant Professor (Law) on a contractual basis.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

(A)

  1. Educational Qualification: A Master’s degree in Law with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
  2. Additional Requirements: The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or hold a Ph.D. in Law as per UGC regulations from 2009 or 2016 (with applicable amendments).
    Candidates registered for a Ph.D. before July 11, 2009, may be exempt from the NET requirement if the following conditions are met:
  • The Ph.D. was awarded in regular mode.
  • The thesis was evaluated by at least two external examiners.
  • An open Ph.D. viva voce was conducted.
  • Two research papers from the Ph.D. work have been published, with at least one in a refereed journal.
  • Two papers based on Ph.D. work have been presented at UGC/ICSSR-sponsored conferences.

Alternatively, candidates holding a Ph.D. from a foreign university ranked in the top 500 in the QS, Times Higher Education, or Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) are also eligible.
