The selected candidates will be appointed on a regular basis at JIPMER’s Puducherry and Karaikal campuses.
Vacancies and Qualifications
According to the official JIPMER Recruitment 2024 notification, there are 80 openings for these faculty positions. Candidates must have experience ranging from 3 to 14 years, depending on the post. Positions include:
- Professor of Anaesthesiology: Requires a medical degree included in the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, with a postgraduate qualification in Anaesthesiology (MD) and at least 14 years of teaching/research experience.
- Assistant Professor of Clinical Immunology (Laboratory Services): Requires an M.Sc. in Biological/Life Sciences or MBBS, along with a Ph.D. in Clinical Immunology/Immunology or a related field, and 3 years of post-doctoral research or teaching experience.
- Professor of Medicine: Candidates must have an MD in Medicine and at least 14 years of relevant teaching/research experience.
Age Limits and Salary
- Professor: Maximum age limit of 58 years, with a salary ranging from Rs. 168900 to Rs. 220400 per month (Level-14).
- Assistant Professor: Maximum age limit of 50 years, with a salary ranging from Rs. 101500 to Rs. 167400 per month (Level-12).

- PwBD candidates: Exempted from the fee.
