Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Jamnagar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing, supervising, and optimizing mechanical maintenance activities to ensure the highest level of efficiency, reliability, and safety in our operations. This role involves troubleshooting, contractor management, equipment preservation, and compliance with industry standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Mechanical Maintenance Execution & Supervision:

  • Execute mechanical maintenance tasks with precision and quality.
  • Supervise mechanical maintenance activities to ensure timely completion as per the planned schedule.
  • Mobilize and allocate resources efficiently for day-to-day mechanical maintenance operations.
  • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures, industry best practices, and company guidelines.
  • Assist the Maintenance Manager in identifying required mechanical spare parts for procurement.

Budgeting & Cost Control:

  • Prepare and manage the mechanical maintenance budget effectively.
  • Analyze maintenance costs, track expenditures, and ensure cost optimization.
  • Maintain audit-related documents and reports for review by the management.

Equipment Reliability & Troubleshooting:

  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for mechanical failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor and analyze mechanical maintenance performance data for continuous improvement.
  • Participate in Reliability & Integrity Studies and implement identified recommendations.
  • Ensure the availability and reliability of equipment by minimizing unplanned downtime.

Shutdown & Turnaround Management:

  • Plan and supervise maintenance shutdown activities as per the schedule.
  • Mobilize resources and contractors for shutdown jobs to ensure smooth execution.
  • Maintain proper documentation and compliance for shutdown and turnaround maintenance.

Contractor & Inventory Management:

  • Manage and oversee third-party contractors to ensure quality execution of maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor and control the inventory of mechanical spare parts.
  • Ensure timely procurement and availability of critical spares to minimize downtime.

SAP & Documentation Management:

  • Maintain SAP-PM and SAP-MM data, ensuring accuracy in maintenance records and cost tracking.
  • Ensure timely entry of pending maintenance jobs into the SAP-PM system.
  • Maintain historical records and IMS documents for mechanical maintenance.

Health, Safety, and Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to HSEF (Health, Safety, Environment, and Fire) standards, including RESOP, MIQA, CFA, and DOSHE mandatory training.
  • Conduct and document Last Line of Defense (LLF) assessments as per plan.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external audit schedules and safety regulations.

Performance Monitoring & Knowledge Management:

  • Prepare weekly maintenance KPIs for Mechanical Maintenance and present them to management.
  • Conduct regular knowledge-sharing activities for self and subordinates.
  • Ensure ongoing learning and upskilling in line with industry advancements.

Education Requirements:

  • Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 7 years of maintenance experience for candidates with a Diploma.
  • Experience working in a plant environment is preferred.
