In this context, India Prime is looking for a talented, driven and experienced professional to build and scale partnerships program in India. S/he leads business development efforts with large industry partners/consumer brands across Banks, FMCG, OEMs, Retail, Digital commerce and others. It is a pivotal role making significant impact on the future of Prime subscription business in India and World Wide Prime .S/He will be a passionate advocate of Amazon Prime to potential partners with proven ability to negotiate win-win deals at CXO levels, drive post deal Go to Market, account management and grow these strategic business relationships to drive objectives for India Prime. S/He will be a self-starter, thrives in ambiguity of a fast scaling initiative, results driven and operates with significant autonomy with senior stakeholders. This role presents a significant intellectual opportunity to create and scale a new business making worldwide impact for Amazon.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the ‘business owner’ to prospect, evaluate and close new business opportunities for Prime partnerships in direct engagement with partners. Focus is on few high quality deals rather than sales push approach.
  • Set up and scale business development mechanisms on lead generation, deal pipeline, business case approvals, partner outreach and engagement, post deal governance.
  • Independently negotiates at CXO levels on joint business plans, deal commercials, legal agreements, go-to-market plan as per Prime/Amazon brand guardrails and set up post launch execution, monitoring mechanism with partners to ensure deal success.
  • Influences, actively networks across multi -level cross functional organizations internally and externally to deliver results.
  • Has ability to write data driven , well reasoned business approval documents with sharp understanding of financial and commercial inputs.
  • Owns Voice of Partners to continuously influence product roadmap, playbooks while inventing ways around current capability constraints.
  • Evangelize Prime partnerships business in various internal and external forums through thought leadership and communication.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7+ years post MBA experience in business development, structuring deals , strategic account management, marketing from top Banks/Fintech/CPG /OTT/Marketing alliances/ Digital commerce organizations.
  • 2+ years of Amazon experience in a similar business development profile.
  • Strong commercial acumen, analytical aptitude, negotiation skills, relationship building and influencing abilities to impact decision making at CXO levels.
  • Strong academic track record, post graduate in management from Tier1 institutes.
  • Good organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines in frequently pivoting business.
  • Strong narrative writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical aptitude and agility to learn web-based tools. Proficiency in Excel/MS tools.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in developing, negotiating and executing business agreements
