This is an excellent opportunity for a savvy, go-getter associate manager to be responsible for sourcing CPaaS (Messaging, Voice and Video) for the world’s largest gig-economy company. This associate manager will support teams that include Comms platform engineering & product, contact center engineering & product, identity engineering & product, Legal, Finance and Technical Project Management teams located worldwide in various countries like the USA, Brazil, Mexico, India, Australia and the Netherlands. What You’ll Do:
- Messaging
- Assist & drive supply chain and operations of business and technical projects related to following messaging areas at Uber: One-way SMS, Two-way SMS, Shortcodes, Longcodes, Whatsapp, RCS, Phone numbers, Call metadata, Promotional messages and premium messages
- Voice & Video
- Assist & drive supply chain and operations of business and technical projects related to following voice & video areas at Uber: Rider-driver call anonymization, eater-courier call anonymization, Contact center voice, Local numbers, National numbers, International Toll Free Numbers, National Toll Free Numbers, Voice over IP, video conferencing and voice calling
- Communications Platform
- Identify, evaluate, negotiate communications deals including ones in the areas of contact center, omni-channel and customer communication / marketing platforms
- Negotiate Contract, terms and conditions including Pricing
- Build deep relationships with key cPaaS suppliers and partners to craft win-win solutions.
- Establish great working relationships with various teams at Uber including product, engineering, IT, operations, program management, strategic finance, legal, data science, procure-to-pay, accounts payable, Infosec, risk and business development to ‘get things done’.
- Assist & drive key projects and negotiate commercial deals, contracts, terms and conditions
- Assist in providing regular status updates to key Uber stakeholders.
- Assist in performing quarterly reporting to management on key metrics, successes and improvement areas of the team.
- Use eRFP tools to source cPaaS related products and services.
- Assist in providing actionable strategies to management including outlining scenarios, benefits, risks, and change management impact of each of those options.
- Assist in performing cPaaS supply market analysis, supplier identification and outreach, RFI/P development and execution, online bidding, supplier response analysis and negotiation
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and assist in operational excellence and process improvement initiatives.
- Ensure business objectives are being met or exceeded, and strategic sourcing processes and systems are in compliance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science.
- 5+ years of engineering or business experience.
- cPaas (Messaging/Voice/Video) industry experience.
- Sourcing and negotiation experience
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Someone who over-communicates.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment while prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities
- Willingness to work 8am to 5 pm EST (Eastern Standard Time)
What You’ll Do:
- Master of Business Administration degree
- Understanding of messaging & data areas like SMS, Whatsapp, RCS etc.
- Understanding of voice & video areas like Contact center voice, Local numbers, National numbers, International Toll Free Numbers, National Toll Free Numbers, Voice over IP, video conferencing and voice calling
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment while prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities
- Performing cPaaS supply market analysis, supplier identification and outreach, RFI/P development and execution, online bidding, supplier response analysis and negotiation
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and assist in operational excellence and process improvement initiatives.
