Primary ObjectiveDrive revenue growth and expand trade finance business by managing client relationships, acquiring new clients, and promoting trade & treasury products
Strategic ResponsibilityTake independent decisions on simple and complex issues within defined timelines
Revenue & ProductivityAchieve financial targets, drive total revenue generation, and improve portfolio performance
Client ServicingManage and fulfill trade finance requirements by coordinating with Service, Operations, and Product teams
Cross-SellingPromote trade finance and treasury products to existing customers
Client EngagementConduct regular meetings with new-to-bank (NTB) and existing clients to identify business opportunities
Business DevelopmentAcquire new clients and grow trade finance portfolio with BB (Business Banking) team using industry-focused approach
Sales ManagementHandle sales of trade finance products across a defined geography/region
Self-ManagementSet and monitor performance goals in coordination with reporting manager
Training ResponsibilityTrain relationship teams and risk teams on structuring and promoting trade finance products
Risk & ComplianceEnsure regulatory compliance, manage KYC/AML guidelines, and monitor transactional risks
Portfolio MonitoringTrack client transaction patterns and report irregularities (spikes/slowdowns)
Regulatory HealthReduce outstanding regulatory issues and maintain portfolio quality
Internal Coordination – Relationship TeamCollaborate with RMs for client acquisition, onboarding, and relationship deepening
Internal Coordination – Product ManagersStructure trade finance solutions and provide market feedback
Internal Coordination – OperationsEnsure smooth onboarding and transaction processing
Internal Coordination – TreasuryWork with treasury team to cross-sell FX products
Internal Coordination – Risk ManagersDiscuss trade finance cases, resolve queries, and manage risk deviations
External Interaction – CustomersEngage regularly with existing and new clients for business development
External Interaction – Trade AssociationsBuild relationships and enhance bank visibility through industry associations
QualificationMBA / CA (Post-Graduate)
Experience Required3–5 years in Trade Finance
Experience TypeKnowledge of trade assets, treasury products, and digital trade solutions
Skills RequiredSales, trade finance expertise, client relationship managem
