| Job Responsibilities | – Handle import shipments for Onshore & Offshore E&P operations.- Manage customs clearance for rigs, vessels, and delivery of goods.- Develop and execute import strategies (tariffs, regulations, market trends).- Coordinate with logistics partners to optimize shipping routes and reduce transit times.- Liaise with vendors, subcontractors, CHA, freight forwarders, transporters, insurance surveyors for document vetting and billing.- Build and maintain relationships with international suppliers; negotiate terms, pricing, and schedules.- Ensure compliance with customs/trade regulations; coordinate with legal/regulatory teams (BIS, WPC).- Supervise and mentor a team of import professionals.- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies.- Oversee accurate import documentation (customs declarations, permits, certificates).- Identify and mitigate import-related risks (delays, customs issues, supply chain disruptions).- Enhance import processes using technology/automation.- Generate reports on import performance, costs, compliance.- Collaborate with procurement, finance, sales teams for smooth coordination.- Stay updated on international trade trends, regulations, industry developments. |
