Job Description:
As a Middleware Administrator (WebLogic/MQ) at Infosys, you will be a key player in the technology team, responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of middleware technologies, particularly IBM WebSphere MQ, WebLogic, and Tomcat servers. You will play a crucial role in project execution, issue resolution, system performance optimization, and client interactions, contributing to high-quality service delivery.
Responsibilities:
1. Client Interaction & Service Delivery:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Engage in quality assurance activities, issue resolution, and providing technical expertise for middleware technologies.
- Analyze and understand client requirements to provide optimal middleware solutions.
2. System Administration & Middleware Support:
- Install, configure, administer, and support IBM WebSphere MQ, WebLogic, and Tomcat Servers.
- Ensure middleware systems run efficiently, minimizing downtime and performance bottlenecks.
- Perform regular monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of middleware environments.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize middleware integration.
3. Project Involvement & Development Support:
- Participate in project estimation, planning, and risk assessment related to middleware components.
- Review and validate system architectures, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Conduct code reviews and unit test plan evaluations.
- Develop and optimize high-quality middleware solutions for various enterprise applications.
4. Technical Leadership & Team Guidance:
- Guide and mentor junior team members in middleware administration best practices.
- Drive knowledge-sharing initiatives and promote continual learning within the team.
- Ensure adherence to organizational guidelines, security policies, and best practices.
Technical & Professional Requirements:
Candidates must have expertise in middleware technologies, specifically:
- IBM WebSphere MQ (WMQ) – Installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
- WebLogic Server – Setup, performance tuning, and support.
- Apache Tomcat – Configuration, deployment, and maintenance.
Preferred Skills:
- Middleware Administration: Expertise in MQ Series, WebSphere Integration, IBM WebSphere MQ Server, and Apache Servers.
- Application Support – Middleware: Experience in application deployment, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- MQ Series with AS/400: Knowledge of integrating MQ Series with AS/400 technologies.
Educational Requirements:
Candidates should hold a degree in one of the following fields:
- Master of Engineering (M.E.)
- Master of Science (M.Sc.)

- Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA)
